THE CAPE ANN R/C MODEL CLUB, INC. is a non-profit organization and is chartered (#338) by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA), a National Organization. The primary objective of the AMA is to promote and foster educational and scientific advancement in model aeronautics and to give recognition in model leadership.

JOINING OUR CLUB

If you have Adobe's Acrobat reader installed, just print and fill in the Application and mail it with your check (made out to Cape Ann RC Model Club), or if you wish, come to one of our monthly general meetings and sign up there. We ALWAYS WELCOME Guests.

The club flying field is located in West Newbury, Massachusetts and our meeting hall is located in Rowley, Massachusetts. The flying field is located in a beautiful spot, at the top of a hill, in an apple orchard, overlooking the Merrimac river. Our grass runway is 350 feet long with a four foot protection fence that separates the flying from the spectators for safety.

ACTIVITIES

The Club holds an annual picnic and we share in community actives such as the local school programs. The Club auction is held in February or early March. Contest and Fun-flys are held at various times through the summer months. There is always something to do at the field. All areas are fenced for SAFETY.

FLIGHT INSTRUCTION

Our formal Flight Instruction Program is held every year from May to September on Thursday evenings about 6:00 p.m. to dusk. Our monthly newsletter will keep you posted if there are any changes. You supply the plane and the Club will provide volunteer instructors.

MEETING HALL

Our monthly general meetings are held at the Rowley V.F.W. on every third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. and end about 9:30 p.m. They include club business, members projects, videos, money saving tips and social time.
